Hi Guys

I am looking to pick up a handful of tools to do some do it myself work on my 07 GT and my LE.

First I am looking for a good floor jack and set of jack stands. For the jack I am currently looking at the following:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003UM7B98/ref=ox_sc_act_title_6?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER

I would pair this with the pinch weld adapter for Mustangs

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00MJN594I/ref=ox_sc_act_title_5?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A1KAVQSE49KR3P

I could use some recomendations on the jack stands.

In addition I am looking at picking up a set of protective lug nut sockets like these:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00AMEJF5K/ref=ox_sc_act_title_4?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER

Has anyone ever used these or something similar? Is there really a benefit to them?

Finally I am looking to get a torque wrench. I found a Tekton one on Amazon that is pretty highly rated, but not sure of the brand. Anyone have any suggestions.

I like the idea of the protective sockets.
I can't speak for the "Tekton" torque wrench, but I will say don't buy a cheap one. You get your money's worth when it comes to those...

Don't use the pinch welds unless it is an emergency, use the sub frame with some good pads. If you are going to work on them for any length of time, use a hobby shop with a drive on lift. The power zone jack is OK, but the harbor freight Pittsburgh aluminum one is just a good IMO. Mine from HF is 15 yrs old and still works like a champ.

Oh, all you need is a roll of Teflon tape to wrap all your sockets in to prevent scratching. To protect the lug nuts, just use the right size and no impact wrenches.
