TOMTOP NO SOUND

So, I am at this point freaking.... Have worked like 12 hours of last 24 trying to figure this unit out.... Everything has been set-up and works besides anything involving radio or sound.... I can upload video if anyone has interest to help me, everything is plugged in the correct area unless I am totally forgetting something.

I even set-up phone mirroring on my iPhone, but in the end no sound at all besides the "beeps" from the unit itself.

Currently desperate for any suggestions before I end up going off on the chinese

If you've double-checked all your connections, and they are solidly seated, then my guess is you have a bum unit. No audio for Nav would be one thing, but the lack of audio for the radio leads me to suspect it's a bad unit. If it were me, I'd disassemble, and confirm connections. If they're good, then just put the OEM stuff back I and return it. Bummer...

Yup, that was my guess... Sucks but I am waiting on response from them to return it now.

Just on a whim...have you tried resetting the unit using the 'reset' button? I think it's under the 'i' button...

Yes... I have sadly tried everything their is to possibly try I am convinced.

Longshot here. Double-check your radio antenna connection. See the recent thread "Antenna Issues" for a pic of the connector.

I wish that was the problem, sadly ti has been plugged in every time and I even just checked right now.

So, what happened? the unit was bad? I just installed mine and I have the same problem, no sound at all.

Also I noticed, the volume & tune knobs does nothing on the screen (just the power button inside the left knob) and I cannot change the radio stations, it remains in 107 FM.

Let's see if TomTop answers on eBay.

Yup, unit was just bad. I installed it about 20 different times so don't waste your time. Just wait on them to reply I guess but they had me send it back

Looks like mine was bad too, I also noticed the rear camera didn't work, just a blue screen.

I haven't received any reply from them in ebay, the quality of the unit was pretty well, too bad didn't work.

My solution ended up being shipping it to the warehouse they have in CALI. And, I was given a full refund of $323 which is what I paid + shipping straight from the site.

Now, will be using that to get the moddiction one.
