Ok, dumb question here and I don't know if this info is already in front of my face and I'm not realizing it, but are the 295/35 and 305/35 MPSS tread widths the same....width....as the 295/30 and 305/30 PS4S? I know the PS4S replaced the MPSS, but since the Cup 2 seems to be different than the PS4S of the "same size", I thought I'd ask.

The reason I ask is that I still have my stock tires from my non-R rims that I'm considering putting on my R-spec wheels that currently have 305 and 325 tires. But the stock tires already looked a bit stretched on my stock wheels, so I'm worried it'll be even worse on the Signature wheels I'm running in R sizes.
I ran stock tires (PSS) on R rims (6GR) and they were a little stretched on the rears, but looked nice... let me see if I can find a pic from a good angle

Ok guys so I ordered the P51 rims in r spec with ps4 305/325 on 03 Dec. The tires have been on back order since then but now its looking like it’s going to be another couple months for the 325 rear tires. So I was going to switch to 295/305 but the 295 are also on back order. So my question is do you think the squared 305 on the r spec rims will look and handle right?
I have 305/30-19 front and rear Pilot Super Sports on my R-spec SV501 wheels. They work perfectly. Remember the actual tread width, in practice, is partially a function of the rim width the tire is mounted to. So the 305s on 11" fronts and 11.5" rears works fine, and both rims are within the recommended width for those tires. The rear has a very slight stretch, and the car handles great. I've run it on street and track (wet and damp) that way. That is my recommendation for a street tire on the R-size wheels (PS4S, PSS, or Conti ECS are all great options but I'd stick with the same sizing of 305s all around).

Here is that setup:

Actually the michelin pilot sport 4s is a very wide thread tire, I would recommend the same as that Ford specialist Bill whatever said; 295 front and 305 rear if going for 4s tires... I also have 305 / 30 / 19 all around but I am running all seasons Cooper tires, and they look pretty nice and handle well.

Anyone use Goodyear Eagle F1's Super Car 3 or 3R's?

This is what happen when I put 305 /30 / 19 Michelin pilot sport 4s on the front of my 2020 R and drove it like they were Pilot Sport PS2's. I must admit that it is most likely a driver skill issue (over driving), but never saw this with the PS2's.

I wonder if a smaller front tread width would have had different results. I am thinking of just sticking with what was originally engineered for the car. I was hoping to get more life out of the 4s. That didn't happen :(
