I finally got up the nerve to attempt my first vinyl tint job. A few lessons learned
1. Make the first one you try somewhere small like a reflector until you learn your heat gun.
2. Pre cut kits arent perfect
3. If u mess it up, peel it off and try again. The heat gun undoes almost any uh oh.

Tools:
Silicone spatula
Bottle of windex
Scissors
Rag
$15 heat gun
Time/patience

First clean your light. Then generously wet your light with windex.
Apply tint. It should slide easily.
Once in place, hold it there and use your squeegee device to push out the excess fluid. Not all surfaces will allow the tint to lay flat. Just do the main areas.
Here is where it takes time...walk away.
Let it dry a bit or your tint will slip and slide all over and you will get angry.
Then take the heat gun to it. It doesnt take much to melt the tint so be careful. A little at a time stretch it over the curves.
Step back and let it dry a little more. The edges wil probably not stick well at this point. Have a beer and come back to flatten the corners later.

Everyone will have their own strategy. These are just a few tips i figured out.

I chose the lightest tint i could get. This pic is of the tinted pass side and stock drivers side comp

Any pics in the sun? Im trying to determine what light tint looks like on the car, since most people seem to go with the darker
