Does anybody here have access to a diagram that shows which bolts go where in the timing cover? I pulled the timing cover off and didn't take a picture beforehand as a reference for which bolts go where...I know, genius move on my part.

Now I've got bolts with different head sizes and I can remember which ones go where. I'm pretty sure the small headed bolts go around the water pump, one of the studded bolts goes up in the passenger side head area for the ground, and the other studded bolt goes somewhere around the alternator. It'd be great to have some kind of diagram so I'm not relying on my questionable memory.

Thanks, in advance, for any help.

edit: this might not be the correct forum for this request. I'll put a copy in the modifications area. Mods, please feel free to delete if this doesn't belong here.

All the small dia. bolts are the same length for the front cover. Unsure if waterpump bolts are the same. If you have have 4 shorter/longer set aside for waterpump.

The 8mm stud bolts. 1 goes pass side top timing cover near intake man. stud is for ground. You should have 2 6mm nuts. 1 SS and one cadium plated. the cadium goes on to hold the ground wires.

The other 8mm stud/bolt goes top timing cover by driver fender. For wiring harness pushover.

The rest of the 8mm bolts are self explanatory.

Now the oil pan has 2 stud/bolts. The only one used goes on pass side outer. And uses that SS nut from earlier to hold bracket.

The other stud goes in the second hole from drivers side. But stud is not used.

I hope this helps.

I recall all the bolt lengths were the same, but I could be mistaken. The difference that jumps out are that about half have small diameter heads and the other half have large diameter heads. As for the stud bolts and oil pan bolts, excellent explanation. Thanks for the help!
