Has anyone actually seen a S550 with a Mach 1 style shaker? Please post pics if you have. I haven't so no idea if it would look of not. I bet the aftermarket will come us with a cosmetic version of the Shaker and probably NACA ducts as well. Remember this is a Mustang!

Thanks Al. I’m not sure I would go as far as “absolute crap” but it doesn’t do anything for me. Maybe the NACA ducts would look better.
I Agree. it's not bad. its not good. now, that was a homemade job, and I think he did good considering. the other one someone else just posted looks a bit better being a proffesional fab job, but again, it's just 'ok'. I'm looking for NACA ducts, I am surprised noone has made that hood in the 5 years of the S550...I Was thinking Ford was having everyone hold off until a Mach 1 model, but apparantly I was wrong.

Every other single model/year of mustang at least since 71 has a stock or aftermarket NACA hood, and I think some of the earlier 1st gens (64-1/2 through 70) do as well.

While we're doing the shaker hood, let's put some vacuum tubes in the radio.

Funny it looks a lot better on the 18+ Hood and front end. Maybe it’s the Orange Fury.
Everything looks better in Orange Fury. Also, I think that hood would look better without the two black vents, or at least body color matching vents.

That’s the simple way to look at it. But apparently nobody else is happy lol.

The only thing I’m hesitant about is price, or else this could be my next car. The MT-82 is not an option for me. So regular GT with A10 or if this isn’t crazy priced a manual Mach 1.

I had a 2010 GT Track Pack and had a blast driving it. Then I replaced my '10 with a 2017 GT PP1 and I enjoyed it but I kind of felt like I never driven manuals before. Then I met girl of my life, got married and I'm expecting my first child and since my commute before pandemic was 37 miles each way, I now drive a 2017 Prius  My next big purchase in about a year is a house. Then there's kids expenses, so I can't spoil myself with a Mach 1 yet. I agree with you on being hesitant on the Mach 1 price, but I never purchase new cars anyways, so in about 2 to 3 years, a low mileage Mach 1 could find itself in my garage.

In the meantime, to quench my Mustang thirst, I am looking again for a 2010 GT. I can't stand the MT-82 and I don't enjoy driving an automatic Mustang either. The 2010 has a Tremec and also the best V8 exhaust sound after the GT350. As long as I have that exhaust note and Tremec, I'll be happy driving only 315 hp.

I really don't get it. Ford took the Mustang and threw in any performance upgrade they can with Shelby parts, even finally add a Tremec, to make the best track capable non-Shelby yet. Why would you prefer adding some visual stuff to make it look cooler, even though it would not increase any performance of the car and make the aerodynamics worse. Style over substance is not something I want to see in a performance car.
