I have a MaP CAI, and still stock BOV; 86k miles. Since new I would get this code here and there and it would always throw light; which would also give me the turbo flutter that kills power
Bout 45k I would get light sometimes, otherwise I would just get the power loss and flutter( no light) when I got on it.
I’ve always had a max of 22psi. Sometimes code, most time not. Now it’s opposite. Sometimes it will hold power til 119 ( shutdown).
My question-is this a tune problem? BOV maybe tired( now swishes a lot more when not under power), wastewater spring?
This is my first turbo, although I research like crazy; specifics of this is scarce.
Was of course planning to already have tune etc. but having a baby at 50 kinda killed that, lol.
Thanx for any ideas, info. I’m not a mechanic; but usually do all work cause…… fuck Ford dealers( btw, Ford is not a company anymore. They got bought out)( yahoo finance will give u new name)
Also like to say, the Ecoboost is leagues better then 5.0. Track handling, wicked power even with just CAI, mush catch can, Mbrp cat. Havnt had a 5.0 even bother after I hit 3rd. Only thing I’ve had to replace/fix( outside of oil and plugs) is a stopped up windshield wiper hose.
