I reckon it is also because we are all tightly bound around one specific, new, fairly rare model. Part of the reason the MOCGB forum has got left behind is that it's a series of audiences with little in common with each other. I know nothing about a '66 classic, have little useful to add to a conversation about Fox Bodies and never had to worry about importing a LHD. So that's a good 75% of the membership I'm not going to interact with. Whereas here we know exactly what it's all about. From exhausts to puddle lamps, exchange rates to wheel hop, our own cars are the guinea pigs and test beds for mods that the pathfinders can trial and we can all choose to follow and install if we want to. It's the inclusivity and relevance that makes it interesting, at least to me.
Plus the chance of a summer drive around, which I hope gets organised this year as I would love to join it at least for part of it.
