Here's a work-around to the problem of not being able to disable youtube links being automatically parsed by forum software.

Copy only the portion of the youtube link following the "v=". Paste only that much into your post.

Instruct readers to go directly to youtube and search on the string you just pasted to your post.

Let's just say I only know enough about HTML and internet communications stuff to be able to do anything beyond typing flat text. Wasn't there to learn when I was in school and I never needed to know it in the day jobs that followed.

Maybe think in terms of very slow osmosis.

On edit - that makes today a good day (I learned something new).
