So had a track day today and going down the back straight the car light up with overheat warnings, coolant temp warnings, etc. Pulled over and stopped the engine and then limped it to the pits a few minutes later.
Had a look and the tensioner wasn't tensioning, so no water pump or power steering, hence the overheating
Luckily the day was run by my mechanic so one of their guys jury rigged the bolt and washer setup so I could limp it to their workshop to get it replaced. No overheating issues and the car felt fine on the drive there so I dont think any further damage has been caused.
Haven't heard of it breaking for anyone else, just lucky I guess!
