I guess an issue may be finding the adult that’s going to sit down from the US lol.

The person that thinks they’re the ONE, is the same person that put the current trade agreement in place and amended it to exactly what he wanted. Then now says it’s awful and can’t believe what he sees (even though it’s that persons work).

As almost all of the experts have said (US experts!), the current (previous?) trade agreement heavily favors the US already. Adding the tariffs just further moves Canada and every other country further down.
What we need are fair and sustainable agreements. Every country out there has something they need and something they want. Do right by each other. Simple as that.

If that doesn’t work and please everyone, turn off the power and send the oil and lumber eastward until things can be discussed and agreed upon. I know that Canada needs to stand up

To give us Canadians a sample I just received rear flaps for my Mach 1 from Jaeger Brothers in the US and the break down for the total price is as follows.
price $80 + $26 delivery is $106 US or $147 CDN
Import charges which is brokerage fees plus HST is $57 CDN
Total price is $204 CDN for an item that is $80 US

Also ordered a tow hook which is on its way so i'm wondering how much that will be. No mention of tariffs.
Unfortunately that’s normal. I ordered an intake hose from “silicone hoses” and it was $28 US. Brokerage fees and shipping for a 2lb part that was in a box 10”x8”x8” was almost $110US. So yea, $140 US for a 28$ piece of rubber. That was FedEx. I spoke to them and they brushed me off saying that’s just the way it is lol.
That was 1.5 years ago. Well before tariffs.
