Taillight and panel swirling - how to protect

Hey all -

Taking delivery of my GT on Saturday. Being that this is my second S550, I know of a few trouble areas that I'm hoping I can avoid this time around.

1) taillights
2) panel in between the taillights

Has anyone found a way to prevent those swirls and scratches?
