Sync3 Update Failure from version 1.0

Hi all.

Just put a new Sync3 system upgrade kit in my Mustang, and it came as Sync3 1.0. The latest files from Ford's website are 5.11. When I try to stick my USB stick in, it tells me that they are "bad installation files". The stick is formatted as exFAT, as per Ford, and ALL the files I got off the website are dropped into the root.

Does anyone have experience trying to update Sync3 and running into issues? I feel I need to go to version3, before I can jump to 5. But that's just a hunch.

I guess not choosing my VIN (non premium) on the website would help.

Grabbed a VIN off of Carmax for a reeal Sync3 vehicle, and it gave me a different file to download. I'll keep you posted if I have any more issues, but I think this is my issue.
