Has anyone used the sync mobile apps function on the base stereo? I tried to control the siriusxm app through this by having my iphone connected to usb1 (the port next to the start button) but when I say mobile apps it doesn't prompt me for which app. Thanks for any help.

it won't. Basically all you get is a pass through from your device via usb, or blu tooth to the stereo.

Steering wheel track controls and volume work, but the entire "app control" function or integration is blown up into something it's really not.

Bottom line is, your phone is doing all the work. the car stereo is just one big head phone plugged into your phone.

Kind of a bummer I was looking forward to being able to change the channel on the app via sync. On the ford website it says you can say mobile apps. Then it asks which App and you say siriusxm... Did notice the phone has to be locked so wondering if that is part of my problem... Could be a issue with the iphone 6 also

Go to mobile apps, then "find new apps". It will search your phone and list what it finds. Spotify comes up easy, but quite a few people (me included) seem to have problems with Pandora showing up all the time. Searching for new apps doesn't show it unless I reboot my phone.

But with Pandora, you can easily change channels, thumbs up, skip etc using the steering wheel controls, or the voice controls.
