Sync 3 and CarPlay question

Also there is no way of selecting radio when you have android auto working, it will work only if you have radio already turned on and then select android auto. But once you have selected pandora or spotify or music of your phone then there is noway of going back to radio with out unplugging the phone and selecting the radio.

Just wondering if anyone here has Google Pixel and if you are able to transfer the phone contact to SYNC3?

For some reason I couldn't transfer my contacts. Worked with my iPhone previously. Ford AU is helping me troubleshoot this.

Has anyone found a way to stop the car from going to radio every time I get back in the car I have to pick Car Play again with my iPhone plugged in. Is there a way to stop this?

I have a VW work car and it simply stays on Car Play fine all the time.

Any ideas would be great it drives me nuts. lol

I disabled my linkup for now. Having no ability to use my s7edge as per normalwhile connected was well crap to say the least. Even passanger cant use it unless the sync is broken. So now my music is on usb. Also I find the icons well boring to say the least, for a system thats fords selling point seems bit of a let down. Dont get me wrong though I absolutely love the car its a fantastic bit of gear just the sync system needs a little tweaking thats all.

I found a solution to my problem. Hopefully this can help if others are having the same issue as me.

I was having issues where I could not download the contacts from my Android phone to SYNC3 via Blutooth. Ford AU has been trying to find a solution but to no avail ( we tried master reset, change certain settings etc).

Then I used my phone's USB cable to connect directly to SYNC3 and I could download the contacts this way. Now everytime my phone syncs with the car, the contacts would be updated automatically so I hope that this will continue to work.
