Syn3 V1 wont update

2016 GT with Sync V1. Try to update to V3 and I get an installation error. I used a thumb drive to update. Anyone run in to this?

I assume you gone to the Ford website popped your VIN in and downloaded the file. There should be instructions as well. Generally when I update my Fords I keep the running and on, and plug the USB in and it just starts and does its thing. Is the USB 2.0? 3.0? Etc.

Make sure it's formatted correctly then put the contents on the USB. Had that issue in the past with my Explorer ST.

Don't bother with OTA, it's useless.

I've followed the directions precisely. I've formatted both ways and used both USB 3 and 2 with same results

As a last step, I reboot. Press Audio Power and Right Seek buttons simultaneously for 5 to 10 seconds, then screen goes black.
