I recommend you do the D1 head unit upgrade while you're at it.
I think your going to love it!

Isn't the stage 2 kit only necessary for people who want to go over 700rwhp? OP, what are your goals?
I think under 700, the stage 1 will be fine.

The stage 2 intercooler is very nice though, if you live in an area that is saturated with head a lot.

In for pricing on the stage 2 procharger.

I've all but given up on Paxton and vortech. The car has been out for almost 6 months now and still no kit.

I have all but decided on the Stage II Procharger. I am really only looking at getting a little over 600 rwhp, but I like the idea of the larger intercooler and the dedicated drive for the pulley system.

A group buy would probably push me over the edge to pick this up. :)

Most manufacturers don't do group buys, that's usually clever marketing by some vendors as a way to generate sales.

We offer great pricing everyday on the all the available kits. We've had a few go through this week and they are shipping quickly. If you want something right now at a great price, this kit is the way to go.

We are centri guys at heart and it's what we specialize in

We are also Procharger distributors and have been for over 10 years. We can offer the most competitive pricing and the support to go along with it. We actually run a procharger in our shop car and have been running one since back in 2005 when the S197 was first released.

Feel free to PM me for pricing on Tuner and Complete kits.

I definitely do get that. I was just trying to keep the discussion going. :D

I am glad to see that you guys have updated the drop down menus for the Procharger kit so we can see how we can customize it.

What is the difference between "race open" and "race close" bypass valve?

Hi All,

Just picked up my GT last week and am loving the forum. As a newbie who has been lurking for months, content here has been invaluable. Thanks to each of you!

I'm interested in supercharging over the next month or two, and I'm curious as to if any other forum users/suppliers might be willing to set up some type of group buy. I know this may not be possible since many of you have unique power needs/goals and there are several SC systems out there; just wanted to see if this might be possible.

Phil
Phil,

Since you didn't list your over all goals it will be a little hard to say what system would be best for you. However here is what we can add to this discussion.

The ProCharger HO System ~
P-1SC-1 Head unit with 4.00" pulley making right at 8psi with stock cars.
Little lower on cars with full exhaust. However even with that pulley you have the power potential for 600+ rwhp with custom tuning.

ProCharger makes pulleys for that system down to 3.00" in 6 rib.
HERE IS THE LISTING FOR THEM (CLICK HERE)

To the best of our knowledge nobody has max'ed a P-1SC-1 out yet.
Meaning using a HO System, and a 3.00" blower pulley.
Maybe someone will and we can all find out. :)

With the HO System you have the option to go to the D-1SC as well.
Which in reading this board has already produced two 700+ rwhp cars.

If you are wanting to go past that point, then you will need to go to the STG 2 system.
Not only does the intercooler obviously flow and support more power.
BUT adding the dedicated drive means the crank pulley goes from 6.6" to 8"
Having that 8" crank means you can spin the blower MUCH faster!

Do note that crank pulley size change, be careful with pulley size.
Because if a person puts a 3.40" blower pulley on and a 7,300rpm redline They will overspin the blower (70,423rpm)

Crank pulley (/) Blower pulley (X) Redline of Engine (X) Blower gear ratio = Impeller Speed.

6 and 8 rib pulley listings are in the above link.

Hope that helps guys,
HoB

What is the difference between "race open" and "race close" bypass valve?

OPEN = vents to the open air

CLOSED = Can be plumbed back into the intake of blower

Can honestly say, have never sold a "CLOSED" unit. Only for guys running draw through mass air meters back in the day was this a good idea.

Almost every centri coyote system is blow through, the mass air is after the blower and is "blown" over it

a draw through system would pull the air in past the mass air meter, and then hit the supercharger and go through the system, since this air has been metered already, it needs to be put back through the system if it's not used.

really not an ideal setup for higher boost cars.

Thanks for clearing that up for me. I had a general idea of the terms, but the pictures and your explanation helps.
