Streetfighter headers on an Auto

Has anyone fitted a set of these headers to an auto??.

I'm really struggling, 4 days work and I haven't even got the RH side done yet:(

The header is in place, starter motor refitted, engine bracket just resting in place, and there is absolutely no access to the bottom bolts...

Any ideas??

Have you watched the CJPP install vid? It's not for your specific headers but it should put you in the ballpark.

What's the main issue?
Which bottom bolts are you referring to?
I'll be doing my pacemakers (same as SF brand) a week from tomorrow, with pics if that's gonna help :shrug:

The bolts I'm referring to are the lower header bolts....top ones get done from above.

Yes mate watched that one a few times, but it doesn't help because they tighten up all the header bolts, and then replace the engine bracket...


Can't do that on mine, because according to the instructions the engine bracket has to be fitted before you tighten the headers, if you tighten first you won't get the bracket back in..... steering rack, gearbox oil cooler pipes all in the way..

Is yours an auto??

Oh, I see. Sounds like a jig-saw puzzle of sorts.
Mine is manual, not sure if we'll face the same challenges.. And it IS a challenge from all accounts.

whats the difference in engine note when going to headers? I want the extra power but don't want to mess with the sound from the borla exhaust

Headers will make the car louder, it really depends on the system. Have a look at this link with a list of videos, that should give you an idea as to what it could sound like.

Excellent question. They're mild steel. The reasoning being that SS can become quite brittle in comparison to mild steel, particularly with the heat cycling that a header goes through.
They offer ceramic coating for those who are concerned about durability.

Yeah headers on an auto is a much harder install, hopefully the email will help you out,

it also changes the note heaps! much louder and more raspier I think
