I don't think anyone particularly DISLIKES the standard one, but have you felt a 350 wheel? Night and day.
I like the sensation of Alcantara to the touch as much as the next man, but paying £470 for it (price as delivered from American Muscle) - that's a borderline fetish!

Yeah. Not sure I would've bought one at that price either.

Can't remember how much mine was but it was a damn sight less than that. Sure it was around £300 and even that was a bit rich.

I swear I've seen them for sale in the UK but cannot remember where, for the life of me.

Steeda have them I think.
For £460.39 delivered. Yikes. If only the wheel also added some extra functionality - like more variable damping. :headbang:

I paid $259 (dollars) for mine, hand carried back to the UK by a friend. Agree, wouldn't pay £400+ but its a great mod that rewards you every time you drive the car.

That's a shade over $300 = £232 + delivery + 24% VAT and customs charges = quite a bit more than £285.

Where did you get £285 delivered?
I overlooked the VAT and customs point well made

So the price is £340 delivered

For a little closure on this (for now) - here's a few pics of the 'Ford Racing' cover for the steering wheel. Actually has a nice bit of 'give' under touch, and increases the girth as needed (always a good thing :D). Obviously, it does not surround the wheel and its inside curve, and so it creates a ridge that may well prove too much to live with eventually. But for now, I'll give it a go. For £20 delivered, not bad.
