Who among you uses a steering wheel cover, and if so what kind? I had the Ford Racing logo one on a previous car and am looking for ideas. A search turned up little.
I ordered this off of Ebay....Ordered it months ago but recently put on in Jan. Seems to be holding up so far. Didn't have yellow so got black. Definitely more grip than leather steering wheel. Does move a little bit - have to adjust every once in a while, in places that I hold wheel most. Don't have pic of it in car - will try to get one later this week.
Has it gotten hot enough inside the car yet to tell if it gets "gooey"? I had a cover with two gel-type silicone pads at the 10 and 2 positions that got really soft and mushy when they got hot.
We've had a couple 60+ degree days recently and I didn't notice any change in it. It doesn't have gel pads or anything...It's one thickness all the way around; textured on outside and really smooth on inside (this is what is against the steering wheel). Has felt the same, no matter if it's cold or warm outside.
I had spent hours doing random searches last year and like you, didn't really find anything. I had measured the steering wheel and it seemed to be smaller than standard cover size...Everything appeared to be too big. I really wanted yellow and black but couldn't find anything with correct dimensions...Now there's a few places offering customized covers but they're pretty pricey.
I figured I wasn't out of much if this one didn't last or didn't fit but doing okay so far. It sat in the house for a couple months before I put it on...It came from Hong Kong - did have a weird smell when I opened the package but after sitting for the couple months, it went away and smells fine...
I was concerned this one was going to be too big but actually had to stretch it a little to get it on; appears to be a good fit.
