Progressive springs change rate based on how you're driving the car. At curb ours are 10% stiffer than the PP springs and can reach up to 40% stiffer when under load.
Linear springs have a constant rate, which is why they are preferred for road racing - ours are 20% stiffer than the PP springs.
So in short progressives are only 10% stiffer than PP springs when just cruising around. But when pushing hard they are upto 40% stiffer depending on how hard your driving.
The linear are 20% stiffer than PP springs at all times and because they are constant the handling characteristics are maybe a little more progressive would you say?
Think I will go progressives for the comfort at normal speeds, I take it the car is still very controllable on the progressives when getting the rear-end out though?
