Hi everyone, quick update. As some of you may have noticed, the retail price on the site has indeed increased - we all knew this would happen as I even stated the earlier pricing was introductory. We're all about transparency so I'll go into more detail.
When there are new products released, especially something like a body component, unexpected costs can come up! In this case, substantial packaging (the fascia is huge, so the box is huge, 8 x 3 foot palette) and higher than expected freight costs. There is also an extra charge tacked on for residential deliveries as opposed to commercial. At the earlier initial pricing, Steeda is actually losing money on every fascia when all costs/logistics are factored in, hence the price increase on the site moving forward.
A couple people may have received a call yesterday about a shipping charge - that's typically standard protocol when we ship truck freight items, so the sales reps were just doing their job.
In this case, because we value the Mustang6G community so much, we are going to honor the initial pricing and will not be collecting an additional shipping charge for orders placed 3/24 and earlier.
So congrats to the customers that got it before we discovered the unforeseen costs - we will honor it in good faith even though it's a considerable loss to Steeda and we look forward to seeing these fascias installed on your S550's!
