Currently waiting on getting my car back from having the shocks and struts installed. Can't wait to get it back and see how she rides!

Update: Rode back from Steeda in Pompano and the shocks & struts are absolutely magnificent! If anyone is lowered and still on stock/PP shocks & struts, do yourself a favor and pick up a pair of steeda shock & struts. Completely transformed the smoothness of the ride.

My father has a M4 and i can say that the GTPP with steeda linear ultralites and non-adjustable shocks & struts is pretty damn close to the M4 suspension in regards to performance and drivability.

 to Steeda

Awesome feedback ... I will let the engineers & team that worked on these know :clap2:

Best Regards,

TJ

I picked these up on the black Friday sale and will be pairing them up with steeda ulra lite linears. Glad to hear more and more positive reviews. They have to be better than the stock pp shocks and struts I have.
Well await the feedback!

Best Regards,

TJ

Iceman they are night and day. I just made the swap and couldn't be happier. Probably the second/third best mod I've done to the car. Right after the tri ax shifter and maybe exhaust

So you used an impact on it or something and broke the bolt and are drilling it out?

We installed a set of these for a member at our Atlanta S550s "mod day" this weekend, equipping them with the Steeda Ultralite springs he already had installed on his PP dampers for probably 5K+ miles. Straightforward installation, no issues.

Smartly - something I wish I would make myself do - he bought all new bolts for the front and back, which avoided any potential issues there. These are technically one-time use - although that concept still annoys me. But, considering how much bloody easier having sparkly clean, brand spankin' new bolts made this job, I will be getting a set to have on standby for track season when I inevitably sweep through the suspension when its coilover time. I've even heard rumors people eliminate noises by simply replacing used bolts with new ones. Baffles me... but this guy had zero noises to speak of after installation so... maybe that line of thought has merit.

FYI: We cut the first tier off of the bump stops front and back - he never did that.

Anyway, we went for a drive with him and at first (driving toward the exit of the neighborhood we were in) he said, "I don't feel a difference." Haha - told him to get off the perfect pavement we were on first and get above 10 mph. Hold on there, bro! So then we turned out of the neighborhood and I kept hearing "I would have felt a huge crash there" and "it feels lighter" and "I don't feel that 'extra bounce' I used to feel after big bumps". This was just in a few miles of driving. To me, sitting in the passenger seat, the car felt awesome - very tight but not crashy or harsh, no obvious repeating bouncing like is so typical with the PP in stock form, etc. - all helped also by the fact that he sprung for MPSS tires which are damn near silent and feel very refined. Secretly this is why I insisted on going on a test drive - I wanted to see if these RIDICULOUSLY expensive tires were worth it. Can't say they are, still, but if you have the cash or get lucky like him and find a rebate that doesn't make you sign up for a Tire Depot MasterCard and then get another MasterCard with $70 on it in the mail 9 months later... well then maybe. Otherwise slap on a set of Coopers like I did and be able to eat and pay your mortgage.

If I wasn't someone who had to tinker and experiment and spend endless amounts of money I barely have to visit tracks, I'd be totally happy with the fixed shocks.

Sorry for the pictures being sideways. I set them vertical and made sure they were before uploading and STILL this forum knocks them sideways. Happens all the time to me.

After driving them another ~150 miles it's really noticeable the difference. At the 370ish they were on sale it was worth every penny just to get rid of the bouncyness of the PP shocks. I can feel they're firmer but in a more comfortable and controlled way. My GF really noticed it as well. the speed bumps in her apt complex would make the car "crash" and thud over them. Now it's smooth and controlled. Expansion joints in the freeway would have an extra hop in them and that's now gone. What I noticed on the way back from our mod day was the car felt much more stable at high speed with no vibrations or loose feelings like I had with the stock PP shocks. There's less detectable body roll as well. Overall I'm really happy with them. I really appreciate you taking the time to walk me through the install, and honestly doing most of the work haha. If I ever have to do it again I'll know how to now.

Oh yeah, watch out for the Falcons winning a game at Kauffman, it was 150-200 (I forget) off of 4 tires after a win and they matched discount tire's price on the PSS which had a 70 rebate too haha. I could never justify the cost of the PSS, but all those stacked up made it cheaper than Nittos or Firestone Indy 500's normally.

Im kicking around getting these instead of adjustables to go with my Steeda linear springs. I want the bounce gone but dont want to get crazy on doing adjustables and end up with a full on race car suspension since I dont know how long Im gonna keep the car. Sounds like these should be the hot ticket.

You'll be happy with either of them. The adjustables give you the opportunity to tune your suspension for a given application (i.e., different track, autocross vs. road course) but if you aren't ever going to visit a track or maybe plan to just for the experience but otherwise aren't going to be serious about it... fixed Pro-Action shocks are going to fit the bill perfectly, IMHO.
