Hey guys,

As the title says, I've started hearing this chirping type noise when I lightly accelerate after just starting the car in the mornings. It happens for a minute or so and the once warmed up, it's gone. I do have an aftermarket catback. Maybe a clamp is loose? I'll get under and retighten them. I also did my first oil change and switched to amsoil signature. Any thoughts?

Thanks!

-Ryan

PS. It's a 2016 base GT.

I thought I was the only one LOL.. Mine does the samething. Only after a cold start. Mine will do it after the first take off though and will not do it again. (till the next day) Its been doing it since I first brought the car home.

I haven't been able to pinpoint the noise. Sounds like it's coming from the lower front of the car. I can hear it more defined when I drive between two walls. But yeah, kind of weird. Like I said, when I have time I'll jack it up and tighten exhaust clamps.

Other than that, belt is the only other thing I considered, but the fact that it only does it once in the mornings and not after work kind of eliminated it for me.

So I did retighten the exhaust and everything and still have the weird little whining noise. Maybe it is the belt, or the AC, or the just the injectors? Since it does change with RPMs, but goes away once the car starts to warm up.

my passenger fan and lots of others have a squeak when turning off the car. i have no idea if maybe thats what youre hearing since mine only seems to be present at shutdown but something to look into. if you turn the fan blade by hand on the passenger side when the car is off it will make a noise if anything.

I actually had that before and it got progressively worse. It's a known issue apparently and Ford will replace the fans under warranty. Mine were replace and that noise is gone.
