Thanks for your concern mate, the car is off the road atm and Ford is looking into it to make sure it's not a common problem... don't want to say to much until the issue is resolved... will keep you posted.Hi OHHHSTANG
Hope your issue is easily resolved. Just because the dealer says "Engine" does not mean that your engine has gone to God. There are q hundred and one reasons for Spanner light and most of them are pretty trivial like sensors which are easily replaced.
Has your engine been ok since your first reported the problem?
Keep in touch with the forum re your progress in the mean time and the best of luck and good fortune for you!
Don't take any BS from them!
Sorry to hear but at least it's been identified. Very interested to know what the problem is. Do you recall having brown froth in your overflow tank?Hey guys, so finally after going to numerous Ford dealers... one dealer found the issues and it turned out to be the engine... this is going to be a very long process.
Great to see, can I ask what Ford Head Office's involvement is? Normally they refer these issues to dealers. Not very sure but Ford head office is being very very helpful so far so fingers crossed the outcome is good.
Nah no froth and the issue was raised by the dealer to head office. There very helpful and doing what the can to assist.Sorry to hear but at least it's been identified. Very interested to know what the problem is. Do you recall having brown froth in your overflow tank?

This ^Will be great to know which dealer discovered the issue and raised with Ford HO once it's all resolved. Sounds like a good dealer that people would be interested in using!
Do you work for Ford? All dealers get the same training by Ford tech on new cars to get a better understanding of each and every ford vehicle.
