That always amazes me that ppl spend the extra money to get a Cali Special or the 50th Anniversary Package and they replace all of the things that make the car special.

To each his own....

Taste changes over time, I really liked it when I first bought it. But I have made almost all the $1995 back selling the pieces I decided to get rid of. So for me, I love what I've done to it :shrug:

I'm not too worried about what the next person (if any) who owns it thinks. Now if it was a limited edition or I had a gt350 my opinion on that would be a lot different

I agree with you but since this one was a CPO car and has at least $2,000 of upgrades already on the car, the kiddo did well on this purchase. $31,000 out the door. No tax in Delaware as his trade in was valued at more than 31K.

Still has the CS rear badge, seats with CS and red stitching, the front splitter and stripes. As far as I can tell the wheels and quad tip exhaust are the only major changes noticeable while looking at the car. The wheels I don't care for but I am a fan of black wheels. The exhaust on the other hand, great upgrade.

Kiddos deal on the car gets better and better. I was able to track down the previous owner who happens to be a 55 year old male who decided the car was not for him after doing a bunch of upgrades and driving the car for about 1.5 years.

He told me what all he did to the car.

He said that the upgraded coils create a better spark and thus better fuel burn. Don't ask me, that is what he said as a justification for the "upgrade." He also said the car had zero issues. He did have a tune on it but did not like how hard the shifts were in sport so he took the tune off.

This is interesting because I specifically asked the dealership if they checked the car for a tune. The salesman said they checked it out and they would not have CPO'ed the car had it had a tune currently or in the past. So either they did not check, they cannot tell it was flashed, or they know it was tuned and are playing dumb.
