Nothing wrong with Big Worm

Had Dual Wide with Pen Stripe in Silver Metallic installed yesterday and couldn't be any happier. Looks great on Oxford White. David and all the employees are super people, and very professional to deal with. Watched the installer from start to finish and was amazed at the effort he put into doing a fabulous job. Will never go anywhere else.
Will post some pictures later.

I went through the same thing. Every shop said the same thing and wanted to use their own vinyl. One shop near me was going to chrge $650 lol. I got a mobile tint installed to intall stripes. It was $300 but they look great.

evo do you have any more pics of your stripes? is that silver or magnetic.

We recommend checking with body shops, since they have no interest in selling you vinyl and most shops have experience installing vinyl during collision repair.

My car hasn't even been delivered yet, but I'm already planning some initial mods - heck, I may even _order_ some stuff so it's here waiting (wouldn't be the first time)

I was originally shopping '11/'12 GT500s, and really got to liking the stripes, so I think I might do some on the new ride. It's a convertible, so I wouldn't even need the roof to be done (when I decide, I guess I need to contact you about a kit that's just the front/hood and trunk/rear).

It's black GT PP with Redline interior, I think some red stripes (wide with a matching outer pinstripe) would be *nuts*

There's a thread in the Florida area talking about local installers, but if that doesn't pan out, maybe I'll check into some local body shops.

The trunk is longer on a convertible also, we have convertible specific kits available for those stripes. I rented a convertible over the summer, huge improvement on wind noise. Not much different than a coupe with the top up for noise.

I checked with a local graphics shop here in Tampa about stripes for my mustang. I told him I was looking to buy a set from Big Worm and he had nothing but praise for them. He has installed a few sets on some cars already and said it is a really high quality kit. He actually preferred I buy the kit from Big Worm since they already have the correct template for the stripes and it would save him some time. He quoted me $75/hr and figured 3-4 hours for the job. Once I get the color combo I want nailed down I'll be ordering a kit from Big Worm.

Are the Big Worm stripes cut to keep the gap even on the front and rear bumpers or is it just fixed width material? I hope that makes sense. I had someone put some stripes on locally and they used just 10" wide vinyl. The gaps get narrower on the front bumper where the go from the front to the top.

Our stripes are cut to the panel they are being installed on, the hood stripes taper to fit the lines of the car, the gap is preset on the hood, roof and trunk. The bumper sections have a curve designed to them to help them go over the bumpers and the kits require no cutting during installation. The kit makes installation a lot easier than using straight vinyl, but still takes some technique to keep the gap exactly at 1" and keep the stripes centered.

Bigworm is awesome. They were more than helpful for me with some issues I had which were indirectly caused by my installer which was not bigworm. I have since corrected the issue and had to reinstall part of the stripes myself and am 100% pleased.

If I had it to do over again, I should have made the drive from Houston and let bigworm install them.

I had my Big Worm Graphix stripes installed over the weekend by Tintworks near Gastonia, NC. He charged $200 to install them and they came out great. He also praised the quality of the material. I'm very happy with the finished product:

You asked if it was Hexis or 3M, I answered Avery. I was out of town when I replied, when I got to work I realized I answered incorrectly and corrected my response. So you were shipped the correct material, but my first response to your question was incorrect. In some of your other forum posts you had mentioned the lack of metallic in the material you have, the Avery has even less which is why we use the Hexis or 3M 1080 for silver metallic.

Yes, we recommend customers get samples to see the color in person. There is a lot that an internet picture can not capture, so we provide samples. We welcome people to visit if they would like, but can mail samples for free if you do not have time for a road trip. We list this on the bottom of every web page that has stripes on it. Also on our color chart.
