so is Ford going to develop a tranny cooler for us 16 tech/base owners?

that is over 3000 gt350s for 2015/2016 without tranny cooler/diff coolers. would Ford do anything about it?

I kinda want to kick whomever came up with the packaging options in the teeth; most of us who can afford a GT350 can sure afford the cost of adding 2 coolers straight from factory.

Only a small percentage of those 3000 cars will see the track. Its not an issue at all for daily use or spirited weekend drives. Only an issue if you actually plan to track the car.

Just a suggestion, how about trying a track day and seeing if your particular car exhibits the same problems that have been posted by just a few?

I do plan to track the car, have 10 track days already booked an paid for in 2016.

I am not too concerned about diff cooler, but after seeing how big the two cats are and how close they are to the tranny I am a little bit worried.

Yeah it is very similar indeed, but unfortunately i've never been on that track.

I like ICAR near Mirabel airport, which is not in use anymore. It's a concrete road course and a whole lot more affordable than Tremblant. Canadian Tire ( use to be ) series uses that same track.

For those bashing tech pack buyers for many of us we did not get to order a car, availability was shit, ADM was considerable, and tech packs were at dealers. Don't be so quick to judge. The fact they gimped the tranny and fucked us on a easy cooler setup from the factory is unforgivable, and it shows how tone deaf and silly they were in the original packages. Its easy to throw rocks from on high.

The ads, reviews, and other mainstream documentation including many dealer opinions did not suggest the car could not handle more than 10 or so minutes at a hot track. But hey, we can have limp mode races with Z06s that were just as dumb right to think the auto tranny would be service grade under stress.

What a joke. A big fu to 3k car buyers. Hopefully the more mechanically inclined folks will find a way to cool these properly and help others. I dont expect anything from Ford. It took 5 years to recal a shit vacuum pump on the f150s and that effected brakes.

Or the fact the majority of dealers didn't allow people to order, and instead ordered dealer stock.

And since the tech package is the most expensive, they chose that.

There was a thread where quite a few people were up in arms (wanting an oil cooler), I bet not even half of them will be going to the track! :headbonk:
