Anybody having problem about outdoor air going inside the car even in recirculating AC mode? Mine is really bad. I can smell the diesel trucks and outdoor fumes. It is a recircalating ac problem? Thanks in advance.

First Step: Change Your Cabin Filter

Hello:

There could be several reasons for the smell. First thing-change the cabin filter in case there is mold, etc. in there.

Next, spray Lysol or products (search on internet) designed to be sprayed down the intake grill of your HVAC while running the fan to pull it through. Then, shut down the fan and continue to spray.

If this does not resolve it, then check your door seams and firewall for air leaks.

Last, make sure that water is draining from the cowl properly and there are no leaves, etc. clogging them, making the water possibly stagnate or leak elsewhere.

Good luck! Keep us posted.
