I checked out a 2017 v6 s500 today that I had been watching for about a week. The carfax said it had not been in any accidents but upon arrival I noticed the front left fender was not aligned properly to the hood of the car. The manager of the dealer said they would repair the bumper at no cost but he mentioned not fully taking the bumper off but rather having his mechanic shop do something to it so it look just as good as new. Should I be concerned or does this sometimes happen and have an easy fix? There was also a very small paint chip on the side of the bumper. When I started the car and gave it gas in park you could here what sounded like a small air intake in the engine but I am assuming that is just gas being injected but I have no idea. Does this sound like a good deal?

Car Details:
Model:
2017 v6 base
Miles: 36045
Asking Price:
$18750 with an out the door of $21,000 flat

Wow the prices near you are pretty good. There is a 2018 eco with 22k miles for $20.5k I have also been looking at. Was excited about the v6 because I could get some decent sound out of it but not sure if its worth the messed up bumper.

The only way for you to know if the car was in an accident is by looking at the bolts that hold the fender and seeing if there's any color mismatch on the paint. To be honest I wouldnt deal with the car with the bumper falling off like that because overtime it will get worse if something is broken. If the piece the hold the bumper it broken then putting a new one would fix the issue. Have them show you what's wrong with it
