If your car is slated to be shipped to the dealer, and via Convoy. Do they wait until the fill the entire Convoy of s550 going to that particular area or just Load yours and ship it?

Is there any way to track a convoy other than calling the dealership? Would be nice to get the drivers cell number :)

Most Car Transporters (do not) always drop their whole load of Vehicles to one Dealership. Often, some Cars destined for other nearby local Dealers are sent on the same Carrier. Vehicles are simply loaded in sequence to be off loaded in order of drop off.

Haha I can only imagine that truck driver loving his/her phone number given out.

Let me be frank guys... shipping by convoy doesn mean its coming by truck... Mostly ford sends through rail cars. .... even though ur sticker says convoy... i am telling you from exp and if you ask your dealer he will tell you the smae thing.

Now, railcars can be tracked by you, if you have your railcar number, how to do it, there is separate thread about it.

Now, for delivery, every state has a common drop off point, which are called Ford DC. from there cars are handed over to trucker unions and then they deliver to ur dealerships

Yeah, the car that I test drove was delivered on a truck that visited a few local dealerships. There's not that many cars on each truck. I can't take THAT long!
I would be willing to go and get it myself if I could!!!! She's just sitting there all lonely. If I ever do this again, I'll order from a MI dealer and drive up to get the car a day or so after build date.
