Hello everyone,
Whenever I'm accelerating from a stop and making a sharp turn, I hear sort of a moaning/humming sound from my 2018 Ecoboost. This likely seems to be coming from the rear end of the car. It is obvious especially on left turns when turning from a stop sign or pulling into a parking spot. The sound only comes at low speeds, and gets obvious when accelerating in that turning motion and fades away after speeding up. Interestingly, it is not obvious to hear from the outside, but inside the car it is very noticable.
My feeling is it's coming from the rear differential. Not sure if this is a normal function of it at low speeds? I took it to a dealer some weeks ago and they said they could not hear it during test drive. As I'm a pretty new to Mustang family, I'm not sure if this is ok as I have not experienced it in other cars before.
I still have factory warranty left and would like to diagnose this before it ends.
Thanks all!
