I am looking into upgrading my head unit, but am really not impressed with the Scosche IFCFD05B kit. I particularly don't care for the two screens at the bottom. They look cheap and not user friendly in the reviews that I've watched on YouTube.
I've looked at the Tesla style, but they have factory set pictures and time/date fields that take up a large chunk of the screen which defeats the purpose of having that large, beautiful, screen. So I'm not really interested in going this route.
I have found a couple double-din HU's on Crutchfield, but they all require the same Scosche kit. Are there any alternatives? Yes, I have Googled and browsed through these forums. The only other option is Metro and it's more expensive and looks even more cheap than the Scosche version.
I'd appreciate your feedback as well as pictures that you might have of your installs.
My ultimate goals:
- HU with preamp outputs (Including Sub)
- Improved sound
- Improved aesthetics
- Retain Sync (not mandatory)
