Just swapped my clutch and learned the hard way that I need to do a relearn. Anyone in the Gilbert Chandler area that would be willing to trigger the relearn for me?

Just called SanTan Ford, they wanted the car for a full day and $155 for 5 minutes of work on a tablet.

I've got an sct that will do the crank relearn but I'm not sure if you can use it on a car it's not married too. I've never tried. Anyone know off hand if that will work?

It is on the menu. I have a obdlink mx I'm not sure if that one is sufficient. I looked online for evidence of someone doing it successfully but to no avail. The forums didn't seem to even acknowledge it existed.

I started driving the car and don't see any issues of misfires. Been going easy on it so far. Have to break in the clutch anyway.

I read in another thread that for the base functions it doesn't need to be.

I would think so. I have an EX (created for FORScan) that you could use if it doesn’t work.

Well if you can't figure it out with forscan let me know and we can try to work out a time to try my device. I live out west but work out east quite often.

Oh wow. If you are that far out I couldn't ask you to come this far over just so I can be a cheapskate.

I have about 3 hours of drive time on it and still no codes, including freeway driving. I can still look into the Forscan options. Plus, I see mustangs all around the area there may be someone closer will pop up.

I will try and hit up forscan forums and see if someone has had success.

Does anyone know a technician that works at SanTan Ford or Earnhardt Ford that can use the Ford IDS tool? Calling through scheduling puts me out a month before they can touch the car. And if I drop it off they MAY get to it Wednesday. I imagine that there has to be a tech available to throw it on the computer really quick. I cannot be without a car that long.

I decided after talking to a tuner near me to just let Ford handling it. I took it to the dealer Friday afternoon. I am now sitting around waiting for a week to get it back. I tried to see if he would let me talk to a technician that may have some time on his hands before the weekend but he wouldn't bite. Guess its better to just clutter up the lot with cars than crank one out for them.
