Well, my stock rear tires are toast at just under 8,000 miles. Time to get new tires and possibly wheels!

Do we have a mod-friendly Ford dealer in SD? I just ordered CAI + nGauge tune and I don't want to be SOL if something catastrophic happens to the trans or the motor.

Nah, Just keep your stock components.. You should be fine.

I won't mention what dealer, But - I had a trans let go @ 7500... CAI, Tune, wheels, lowered, blah blah... Put my stock intake and detuned it... Drove in - Didn't even bat an eye.

That's what I figured. Then I read something the stock ECU keeping track of how many times it's been flashed, etc. If I had an issue on E85 with bolt-ons and went back to stock, would the dealer honestly be able to tell?

Edit: Also, do you guys and girls wash your cars at home? With this water shortage I'm not sure if I can get away with it or not. I'm thinking about investing in some of that waterless wash stuff if it's actually good for anything.

Yes... If you have an issue on E85, They will know... Mustang isn't setup for flex fuel... Tuning wise.. Stock, So - Yea, They'd def know...

I wash @ home.. But I live in Alpine and most people here don't say shit to each other.

Hmm. I hope the E85 map doesn't give me too much crap then. Seems worth it, especially I got it for free during Lund's holiday sale. What about launch control and line lock? Can the dealer tell if they've been used and do they void warranty? I can't get a definitive answer when I google it or search on the forums.

Couldn't really tell you, I'd imagine just like the way tuning can leave a "footprint" i'm sure there are flags for other items such as line lock, or LC... It's not like they're standing @ the gate with a scanner waiting to turn you away for using features that came with the vehicle stock...

So - Tough call.. I wouldn't stress on it to much... If you're worried about it, Then don't fill up with E85...

In the realm of Naturally Aspirated, You aren't gaining a worthy amount of horsepower IMO to warrant the switch.. Blown/Turbo'd ?? Fuck yea!! But then you aren't worried about what your dealer says anyhow...

Go full bolt on before switching fuel... Full bolt on you're right in the neighbor hood of 450 RWHP (Intake, Headers, Exhaust, Tune)...

450 RWHP is a very respectable number on 91 octane.. (Friends 15 w/ kooks and a bama tune made 452 on 91.. I have no dyno numbers myself)

Super car Sunday is coming up. Maybe look into that. I might take a drive up palomar mountain with my wife and have some champagne at the top or something.

It's a little short notice-- and I threw my back out, but I like the the idea of a non-official meetup in the San Diego area. Even if it's just morning coffee. What does everybody else think?

I'd honestly be down for whatever time tomorrow. But at the last C&C Carlsbad they said that anyone who showed up to that spot in a "group of cars" or whatever would be asked to leave klumpikat
