A week ago I started having this issue during startup. The noise only happens when the starter is turning the flexplate. No ticking sound during idle or at speed. I did experience the noise a few times when I shut the engine off, but that seems to have subsided. No check engine lights and the car drives normal.
Thought it could be from an exhaust component tapping the underside of the car, it's not. Maybe bad engine mounts, had them replaced with Steeda mounts and the noise is still there. There's a little play in the driveshaft while the car is in park. Not sure if that's normal but you can see in the video attached the driveshaft doesn't move during the startup.
At this point I'm leaning towards a flexplate and/or starter issue but wanted to see if anyone has experienced this issue or had any insights to what it could be.
