This turned out to be a damaged "wave plate?". Called my most trusted mechanic and he recommended an Aamco. Guys had the car for a day and told me there's a plate between the flexplate and torque converter on these auto ecos and that mine had failed. 2 weeks and $1100 later I'm back on the road
