Okay but what about the front splitter on the RTR? Is that ever gonna be released?

@2morrow - That's correct but I know for a fact that we should be seeing more options coming for the non-premium rears.

Alex
Hopefully soon. I'm really eyeing a rear bumper conversion at this point. I didn't realize the premium vs base difference when I chose my GT/PP base. I thought it was mostly interior bits. I should've studied harder.

toplessfun - We're pushing RTR as hard as we can on these. They're a great operation to work with and they have an insane eye for quality and detail.

If they're not happy with the product they're not going to allow it to be sold.

We should be seeing them soon and Mustang6G is going to be the first place to know.

Sorry about the delay, we're eagerly awaiting them too.

I'll try to nail down some ETA's on these guys. The RTR parts are meticulously designed and if they don't like something they see they're not going to have them sold.

I wish more companies we're like this believe me, their team has a crazy eye for detail along with striving for perfection!

I understand that they are meticulously designed. But something as simple as this should not take this long to make. They need some new engineers if this is the case. lol.

They are going to miss out on the entire 2016 season if they are not quick...

I'll beat the horse on this again but it's not the engineers.

While you see what's on their 2 cars, they're both prototypes.

While they look simple, there's a lot that's involved. From design to torture test. They're not being 3D printed in JR's basement. Trust me. They're coming. And again, this is going to be the first place to know, this thread. no where else.

Releasing these before they're ready could sink the company. Too many problems, and the word gets out...

I'm sure real world testing is being done, and I bet there were initial production issues.

This. All of this!

Real world testing is definitely being done and I can tell you that multiple batches have been manufactured. If they don't like something the go back to the drawing board.

They're coming.

This thread has been around since November. I'm sure they started working on these way before that. They are not building the next space shuttle. Things like these lose their momentum when they water the mouths of customers and can't seem to deliver the product within a year. This is poor planning and R&D.

I've passed up on many other grilles because I wanted these... I have finally pulled the trigger on their non lighted one with the hopes that they will release a light kit for it. If it only materializes as a kit and you can't get the lighting section separately, they will have lost a potential customer for that product.

Again, just my .02 cents

@toplessfun

The LED's are going to be sold separately for customers that already have the grille.

I'm sure they realize that. But, the potential customers gained when the product works right, and released when it's ready will make up for a few customers who couldn't wait.

Sounds like they're planning for that as well though, with the add on kit. Furthering my belief they're making smart choices as a company.

Any way to confirm that the shell of the RTR is the exact same as stock so that if you cut out the side pieces the triangles would fit?

Confirmed. They're meant to go right where they should've been on the grille, from the get go!

Oh that's awesome Alex! I'm making my own mesh and still on the fence about these but glad to hear I could at least try them without having to buy a whole new upper unit.
