They had to sand down the valance because it was textured...not sure how many coats but it had to be sprayed and baked..no can...put actually professional body shop..base and clearcoat...he said it was Ford gloss black to match my PP wheels.

Oh my bad. I thought you did it yourself. I'll probably end up doing this sometime in the future. If you don't mind, how much did you pay for the painting?

I wish I could done it myself but I just wrote check..$700 covered remove/ install rear bumper, install rear valance and paint Roush valance and install exhaust tips..could've saved about 300 if I just had him paint..but I wanted warranty..and no headaches

I do like the RTR diffuser it looks great! I added quad tips and diffuser fins to my base model bumper. Not as pronounced as the aftermarket ones but still noticeable.

Hello Steve,

I have all the parts (RTR diffuser and Ford trim valance) to do the installation, but had a few questions about your install.

1) What did you use to cut the bottom of the bumper off with?
2) Did you only use screws/clips to attach the valance to the bumper? Did you any type of glue or other adhesive?
3) What did you use to fill the gap between the bumper and valance? How bad was the gap? Are we talking 1/16" or worse?

Thanks.
Nick
