@Lazyitis Well, Dateless.. XX66 XXX is sept 16 plate. I wont have a sept 16 plate as my car is registered for march 16. (XX16 XXX).

Unless, they're releasing new dateless plates in September?
No, I was joking. What I meant was we won't need dateless plates until our cars become conspicuously ancient; ie on 16 plates when 66 becomes current. 16s will be just sooo March come September! :D

Looks like you might have some competition on the DVLA website at 8:30am on Tuesday 17th May. Glad I'm sorted!

Ah right, get it now!

Nah, I was looking for LN SNM or LN SM (L=Letter N=Number, both can be any value, as long as number = 1-9) For my initials (Or LN STE)

Ideal plate would be:
SM4 NDR - Can't find anywhere (don't think its possible)
M4 NDR - but can't find this anywhere :headbonk:

i managed to get
V88JPL

my intials are JPL so will be spacing it as

V8
8JPL
on the front, will just go with regular spacing on the rear. was good for 399
Some of the V8 ones do seem great value for ÂŁ399, if only you can make the letters mean something.

V8 FOD ... is still there. Nearly good, just needs an R.

It's a bit like Countdown. Consonant please Carol...

Never let me employ you to do a job, totally failed the job description there. Maybe the plate is more relevant for you ;)

No, I wouldn't employ me either... :)
Tbh, its the sort of plate i'd run if I didn't already have a full complement. Not above taking the p*ss out of myself...:headbonk:

Sorry am puzzled by this
I have bought a personalised plate,

LG55O GG

has zero to do with any year date, only problem i might get pulled for is the spacing, but as will have the originals its not a massive issue if i am told to switch them.
that's why you have to pay big money for them, as they are personalised plates
Correct me if I'm wrong but if that plate is actually LG55 OGG then it IS date-related, although obviously will still be able to go on your Mustang as the plate is older than the car.

I think if there are 2 letters before 2 numbers then it's in the 'new' date format and therefore will affect which cars it can be attached to.

Buying it direct from the DVLA does not automatically make it 'personalised' and exempt from that.

Close, but, not a fan of the looks.. Also was trying to stray away from having the full 7 digit numberplate (Unless it's 'dateless')

You are correct. 55 was Sept 2005 and can go on any car registered from 1/9/05.
