I can see I'm going to have to be less opaque

So, is this information from Roush themselves, through an employee you might know or has it been posted on a motoring blog/magazine?

How reliable is the source of the rumour?

Do you trust the source and what substance to the rumour can you offer?

I'm only asking because your original, 2nd and 3rd posts were a little on the less substantive side

Lmfao! I could help myself

I heard from a friend in Oz that they have been looking into producing a RHD Roush, I didn't get told anything more, I was just sharing with you guys in hope of anything else, I'm waiting for an announcement or proof before I get excited, BUT if it is true by the time they're done and get one over here it will be 2020, personally I wouldn't get my hopes up

It would be very easy for Roush, they could simply do a limited run, say 150 cars for Australia and 100 cars for UK.

They just buy the car from Ford at their discounted rate, add their parts and then sell them in the UK. They could either approach someone like Litchfield or Ford Dealership, or even themselves come over. People would buy them! :)

Roush Stage 3 is very nice a GT350 competitor in some ways. ;)

We actually already have a Roush RHD down here (was converted from lhd to rhd), then roush goodies added later. We have a lot of different workshops who will be stocking the Roush kit

I spoke at some length with one of the co-owners of Roush at SEMA last week about many things including the growing Mustang business in the UK - I worked for him for over 10 years in the UK. He didn't mention any interest in looking at a RHD model. It would be straightforward enough to engineer however it would be far more complex to actually retail when you look into warranty and after sales support etc. I would suspect these issues would make the business case difficult to balance.

All just my opinion of course

A few uk reviews/websites seem to mention a 500hp Mustang being released in 17/18. Not sure if there is any correlation? ?

Changing the subject slightly....Ford GT driver?! I'm jealous! I'm not that far from Colchester so I'll keep a look out for you! :)

Hi Dave

Good to see you over here. Yes, it's the same Twin Turbo here from the other UK Mustang forum ;)

I agree on your points. However, whether RHD or LHD it would be cool to be able to buy an "official" Roush in the UK, rather than importing it yourself. I would imagine the market may be pretty small, although the high uptake of regular GT models over here does point to enthusiasts wanting the top dog Mustang.

Whilst I wouldn't expect a full Ford Manufacturer warranty, certainly the few Mustang specialists over here offer them with 3rd party warranties.

Having seen my first Roush on a recent visit to Michigan (Yes, it was as Roush's HQ. Well, you don't go there and NOT search out every Mustang facility, do you? :D )......I can say it looks sensational in the metal.

And this one belongs to Mr Roush himself. Photographed at the Roush Collection
