i had the Roush axle backs installed last week and i definitely notice the drone you guys have been mentioning on the highway but it really doesn't bother me yet. i love the sound personally but one of my buddies said he thinks my car sounds like a ricer...to each his own...
I have also noticed that the drone is getting quieter as the car is wearing in. The first few dozen miles were absolutely terrible! Now its better but still a definite drone going on

I have been emailing back and forth with Roush, but they refuse to admit that there is any dron (which is odd because I drive it every day...). They say that since they have no reports they will do nothing, so I ask that if you have this kit installed and have drone please contact Roush (email or live chat: http://www.roushperformance.com/) to let them know that their kit drones on a v6.

I will be happy to write. Do you know who the contact is? I would really like to put it to their attention. Currently i have put 1,500 miles on the exhaust. The drone has quited down some. But, you still cannot hold a converstation with the Sync. The other person in the call always jokes about the Blender sound.

Their email is [email protected]. I'm to the point of switching to a different set of cans personally. I can't keep showing up places with a ringing in my ear and no hearing in low registers ;)

Just sent them a mail.

To answer you question several postback. The Roush exhaust is a option depending on what packaged model Roush you choose. RS=V6, RS1=Ecoboost 4,RS=V8, RS3=V8 Supercharged. Mine had the standard mustang exhaust and I had to purchase and get the upgraded exhaust installed.

I also believe there is a Rep from Roush I have seen post on the Forum before.

Well, I got my reply from a Fellow named Steve. Looks like they are denial from the Drone. Here is the answer. "Our exhaust is a performance kit, of which the noise level will high. Our engineering and technical departments have tested and there are no known drone issues."

This 2nd answer I really enjoyed. Kind of makes your Blood Boil after spending $600 on a axel-back system. "If you are seeking to reduce the sound, please inquire with your local exhaust shop to see if they have any alternatives."

They specifically advertise the product without drone. Sorry that you guys have that problem... sucks because this was the product I was most interested in.
