I sent them an email with this same question...... No response yet. I asked them why would they sell an upgrade kit (and provide warranty) for something that is more likely than not to fail??? This is why I'm a little bit skeptical on the OPG fail....
I wonder how many failures of the oil pump gears Roush has had, if any? You would think if it were a likely failure, they would have addressed it. I'm sure Roush doesn't want to rebuild (or pay for) a motor rebuild.
Whether it's true or not I personally believe it's more of a high RPM issue. Guys running above 7500 and so.. Iv'e never heard of a Roush stage 3 car breaking OPG's. There tune is set for the same RPM limiter as factory.
