Yea man doesn't look any different to me really, if more passes with Dr. colorchip don't work snag the motorcraft paint/clear coat pen on amazon ($15) and try that instead. I've had some good luck with that and a little bit of paint thinner and I have metallic paint as well

Just make sure you use micro brushes/ toothpicks to dab the paint in

Yes, I got the remixed paint last week , then we've had rain followed by a cold snap and shorter days.

I will update as soon as I get it on . Probably Thursday .

It does a better job of 'filling' and leveling the chip out . You can do the same with duplicolor but its harder and takes longer .

With Dr. CC the "secret sauce" is the "blending agent" that wipes off the excess paint , so it all just stays in the chip

Just make sure to smear it in with the side of your thumb. No need to apply pressure, just let your hand graze the top of the paint. I had several chips and scratches, as well as a big gash. They are all filled in. The only noticeable ding on the car is the gash. But this gash is really too big to hide. Looks a lot better since it's colored though.

Also when removing, don't press against the paint too much. You just kind of glide over the paint. Otherwise you are removing the paint you just filled in.

I started looking into this when I discovered a couple of rock chips on my hood last weekend. Dr.colorchip seems to be a good alternative, as is Chipex which is based on the exact same principle and is available in the UK and therefore in Europe.

Although I suppose that instead of buying any of those kits, one can simply use any touch-up paint (such as those that are available at the dealership) and 50% isopropyl alcohol instead of the blending solution.

In any case I will buy one of the above kits, they are definitely useful.

It looks a bit better , I think my problem is that the clear coat separated from the paint in the craters , and that is "ringing" it in the whiter color.

I still think you could do a bit better, try using the pen instead with a little wet sanding then polishing then the clear
