Same here for a couple of months but it's just piece of mind I guess to know it's clipped in there and a tech won't inadvertently pop it off and leave it as such ... mind you easy enough to pop back on. I know the feeling...but with the Airaid, it's such a tight fit, I don't see how it would come off in the first place
