Guys
Im picking up my Deep Impact Blue GT/PP/50 pkg this weekend...
I want to get a better rumble from the stock exhaust

I heard that by removing, cutting out the resonator, it will give it that
sound...
Any Thoughts?

We've got our X/H pipe resonator deletes as well as the FRPP x delete in stock and ready to ship.

Give us a call if you have any questions.

Thanks!

Does it pick up any HP or TQ by removing the stock resonator and going with a x-pipe or h-pipe while using the stock mufflers? Has anyone did any dynos regarding this?

We did dyno testing with both the X and H resonator deletes and the stock mufflers. No real gain in peak hp numbers. There was a small 2-3 rwhp increase with the H delete through the midrange over stock.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

Thanks, Jared

Why does Ford use the resonator instead of an X or H pipe?

I had a H-pipe put on last week, it adds just enough sound, though I think I want to add some axel backs next anyways. This is a must do mod in my opinion.

I see that your resonator delete takes care of the flex pipe too. What's the benefit of doing so? I read somewhere here that the flex pipe serves as a way for exhaust sound frequencies from left and right to be unequal that way it minimize or cancel out drone.

I'm not sure which H pipe to get I have the Roush AB already installed . I want a little more sound like my 2014 had with the Roush AB . Any ideas on which H pipe is best or are they all the same ?

Removing the flex pipe simply removes the bottleneck of that piece.

It has nothing to do with sound frequencies or drone.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

Did the LP x pipe delete with stock axleback currently. Much better sound, but like the other gent, needs a little more sound. Looking to replace the axleback soon too.

I went to a local performance exhaust shop and had them cut out the resonator and install their own pipes. Initial sound was a little louder at start up. Getting on it quick or pushing the throttle quickly while in neutral produces a lot of rasp to the point I am not happing with the mod. The new pipes installed are not a "H" pipe, they are not joined. Wondering since they are not connected like the "H" or "X" pipes are, maybe that is creating this nasty rasp sound. Almost a metal on metal rasp sound. At first I thought maybe it was metal on metal but the sound is coming from the exhaust tips.

Any one else that has done this mod or purchased the actual "H" or "X" pipe have a sound similar to what I am talking about?
