Michael,
At your end of town, Crispin crash repairs in St Marys has been around for eons and is well known for paint and restorations to classic cars, rods etc....he has done a ton of mustang resto's over the years......early model ones obviously. Haven't had work done by them myself, but friends have.

Out at my end of town, I have been pretty happy with Salisbury paint and panel. They have painted some bits for me that I have fitted myself.
They repaired my daughters ute a couple of times.
Once after relieving the planet of a kangaroo and once after some sweet loveable person drove a vehicle down the side of her car from front to rear when parked without feeling the need to leave a note with any of their details.
Their repairs were excellent. The colour match was perfect. I know they had to blow the colour in over the cabin somewhere, but I could not see where.

Thanks for the reply and information Bob. I will add this information to my research and selection as I need to find someone who actually cares about what they are doing and its someone I can trust.

I have only just got out of the fetal position after a horror experience with a paint shops attempt to paint my Black Mustang after accident damage. My paint correction guy did the best he could to fix it up but some things he couldn't correct so the repair isn't how it came out the factory.

Not only did they do a shit job but they also dammaged my front clip which now has to be taken off the car fixed and totally re painted.

It seems that its actually not a given that a professional establisment would do a professional job and treat my car with care and respect..... why is good help hard to find.

Anyway thanks for the info.

Sorry to hear that Michael...it shouldn't be that hard but I know how crap some places are. Unfortunately if you dont have recent experience with crash shops, it can be a lottery.
It can be an art more than a science doing a repair and that leads to more chance of failure.
I used to have a crash and custom shop back in the 1980's when the technology was a lot less than these days and am stunned at some of the rubbish repairs that I see driving around.
I have some friends working in the crash business and they tell me that good tradesman are hard to find and the pay is rubbish...there is not a lot of incentive other than personal pride to do a good job.
Any hints as to who the cowboys who scarred your car are?

Sorry to hear about your experience Michael. Dave Crispin is in the Mustang Club and has a lot of experience with Mustangs. I can also recommend Image Classic Cars at Pooraka who are also in the Mustang Club and do a great job.
