Any suggestions to protect the side bolters on the Recaro seats.

This had been a concern when I first got my car. To combat this I make sure I do not ever slide down the bolster when entering and lift myself up over it exiting the car. Unfortunately depending on the ability of an individual to do this effectively it may not be possible. It does not seem as if a post production method can be applied to the seats that will not only be effective but aesthetically pleasing. I hope I’m mistaken and you are successful finding something.

My solution for this is certainly not pretty, but it is effective and inexpensive. This protector is wide enough to cover the bolsters on the seat, which is a limitation of most of the universal fit seat covers (trust me, i've looked). It has a rubberized and pebbled backing, which keeps it from moving around too much. Finally, it has an elastic strap to hold it around the seatback and a strap along the bottom to secure it under the seat.
