I discovered yesterday that my Schroth Quick Fit harness belts that fit in my 2013 V6 aren’t compatible with my 2018 GT. The problem is the harness belts have a 1” tab width to plug into the rear driver’s side female receptacle, but the factory belt is only a 7/8” tab width so the receptacle is too narrow. In the 2013 the front tab width was 7/8” wide but the back was 1” wide. Now they all are the same in the 2018.

The easiest thing now, I think, is to switch out the rear female receptacle with an earlier year that accepts 1” wide tabs. What I’m not sure of is what model years have compatible receptacles that also fit the bolt that holds the receptacle in place under the seat.

I know my 2013 was wide enough, what I don’t know is if 5G receptacles fit in the 6G. The gentleman I spoke to at Schroth says the harness belts are compatible with the 2017 Mustangs.

Could someone please confirm that their 6G that’s earlier than 2018 indeed has 1” wide tab widths on the rear driver’s side shoulder belts? That will help me narrow down which year(s) have receptacles that will be compatible. Is the rear seat the same in all 6G model years? I know the 5G rear seats were similar but I’m not sure if those receptacles will fit the 6G bolt and the opening in the rear seat.

Thanks!
