Rear Deck-lid Panel & Emblem Help

I did mine this past weekend. I used the widest prying tool, as shown in the photo above, to pop the first tab on the left side of the deck lid. Once I had popped that one, I used my left hand to get behind the deck lid and slowly popped the other tabs one at a time.

My brother helped me to keep the trunk from moving up and down.

Overall, it was super easy to do. Just take your time and definitely lay down 2 or 3 strips of tape to protect the paint and metal when using the pry tool. Like I said, I used the tool to pop the first tab because I wanted to avoid damaging the paint and metal.

Still poking around for a good batman emblem. I found the ones in the url below that say they are cut from 18g steel and have a "textured black paint" but I am worried about it being cheap paint and steel and rusting, resulting in rust stains down the back of my car. If I do go with a black one I will probably plasti-dip it before I put it on but still.... I would really like to get some stainless steel ones or even just ABS ones just to avoid rust issues. I want it to pop out of the trunk like the factory pony does too though.

Other than that it seems like they are mostly small <4 inch emblems when I search "batman emblems" on ebay. I really wish I had access to a shop around me because I could/would gladly make it myself if I had a mill. Just probably wouldn't be as thick as the factory emblem.

Seems like people that have responded on here seem to like my idea though. People I've asked in real life have been pretty mixed :/. They also mostly aren't car people though. :headbonk:
